JOB TITLE:    Senior Network Engineer

LOCATION:    1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)

DUTIES:    Design and implement computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks. Duties include: design, implementation, and management of secure and efficient Virtual Private Network (VPN) solutions; evaluate network requirements, configuring VPN technologies, ensuring data confidentiality, integrity, and availability, and providing expert guidance on VPN-related matters; collaborate with cross-functional teams, architects VPN solutions, and oversees the seamless integration of VPN services into the organization’s network infrastructure; provide advanced technical support for VPN-related issues, diagnosing and resolving network problems; maintain documentation of configurations and troubleshooting procedures; provide training to internal teams on best practices; ensure VPN configurations adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements; conduct regular performance evaluations and implement enhancements; and stay updated with the latest technology and security protocols; VPN Design and Implementation; Network Security; Performance Optimization; Compliance and Standards; Troubleshooting and Support; Documentation and Training; Capacity Planning and Scalability; and Collaboration and Communication. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S

REQUIREMENTS:    Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in an Engineer-related occupation.

Position requires two (2) years of experience in the following: 
*    Architecting and implementing solutions to meet security and connectivity requirements;
*    Configuring, deploying, and maintaining VPN technologies such as IPsec, SSL, and MPLS VPNs;
*    Data confidentiality, integrity, and availability;
*    Evaluating and enhancing network performance to ensure efficient operations;
*    Monitoring industry standards and regulatory requirements;
*    Technical support in diagnosing and resolving VPN-related issues;
*    Maintaining detailed documentation and providing training on best practices; and
*    Network capacity maintenance to ensure solutions can scale with business needs.

RATE OF PAY: $ 93,787 – $176,738 / per year
