This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8am – 4:30pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer 4 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of training will be aligned with your schedule.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Interact with customers to gather support data to ensure invoice accuracy
• Responds to inbound calls and email inquiries
• Receives and processes requests, and distributes them to the appropriate parties
• Provides accurate information and facilitates resolution to customer and third-party inquiries while representing the organization
• Sends out itemized bills via mail and reviews attorney checks to determine if they can be posted
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED
• Must be 18 years of age OR older
• 6+ months of healthcare customer service experience
• Understands itemized medical bills and the authorization process for medical billing
• Proficiency with Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate multiple programs and learn new and complex computer system applications
• Ability to work a few times a month at 2925 Chicago Ave Minneapolis, MN 55407

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in healthcare billing
• Epic or other EMR experience
• Experience working with attorneys

• Reside within commutable distance to the office at 2925 Chicago Ave Minneapolis, MN 55407
• Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
• Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
• Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.74 – $31.63 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
