The Associate Finance Director position will support Optum Bank (part of Optum Financial Services) and will be responsible for various financial functions, including evaluation of business opportunities, conducting analytics, long range planning and quarterly forecasting, metrics reporting and ad-hoc analysis. This role will also involve creating in-depth financial models and analyzing financial and operational metrics to evaluate and influence various aspects of the Bank’s business performance. The ideal candidate will have a finance background in the Financial Services or Banking industries.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Lead the creation of business and financial cases for growth opportunities and capital investments, ensuring alignment with company objectives
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses to address various business needs and inform strategic decisions
- Partner with business line leaders to analyze product profitability and support growth initiatives, including new product launches and market expansion
- Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations that effectively communicate financial insights and strategic recommendations
- Identify and resolve financial issues by providing actionable solutions and recommendations to enhance financial performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, product, technology, and Bank Leadership to develop and implement strategies, plans, and processes aimed at improving profitability and cost efficiencies
- Conduct comprehensive loan and deposit pricing analyses to ensure competitiveness, margin optimization, and alignment with ALM strategies

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- 5+ years progressive experience in financial planning and analysis
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables and complex formulas) and PowerPoint
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in the Financial Services or Banking industry
- Hands-on experience with loan and deposit pricing strategies and modeling
- Strong understanding of bank financial statements, regulatory capital requirements, and liquidity management principles
- Familiarity with Hyperion Essbase, Planning and PeopleSoft Financials
- Experience working in a matrixed organization with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with both working and executive levels
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $110,200 to $188,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
