This role will analyze financial performance metrics for key client partnerships, provide guidance for improvement initiatives, and create internal forecasts for revenue cycle performance metrics. This role will lead a team of individuals that will be performing analyses and forecasts for MPP’s (Multi Pillar Partnerships) clients. This role will be responsible for interacting with internal senior leadership as well external client c-suite partners. The ability to provide thought leadership, team mentorship/direction, and excellent presentation skills will be imperative for this role.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Primary ownership of detailed models to forecast, measure, and validate key performance indicators for external client partnerships
  • Responsible for financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting of Performance Improvement revenue from our largest and most strategic outsourcing partnerships
  • Evaluate operational performance and financial risk as it relates to key performance metrics by partnering with the Operations, Client Relationship Executives, and external clients
  • Leadership in both a cross functional capacity, partnering with Operations and Client Relationship Executive leaders as well as leading your direct reports 
  • Evaluate revenue cycle performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Develop and provide thought leadership for external facing reporting and power point materials
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to deliver clear and concise presentation materials
  • Solid leadership and communication skills

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years as a Financial Analysis
  • 5+ years of experience with tracking and reporting upon client-specific performance indicators in a subjective environment
  • 5+ years of advanced Excel (V-lookups)
  • 3+ years of experience with creating and reporting on financial metrics for hospital systems 
  • 3+ years presenting to C level executives
  • Experience translating complex financial metrics into meaningful insights

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Experience with SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI or equivalent
  • Experience in revenue cycle operations or directly supporting operations
  • Familiarity with and understanding of Provider/Health System revenue cycle and financials
  • Proven astute leadership and team management (directly) 
  • Proven solid organizational and time management skills
  • Proven solid collaborative skills across various teams (including but not limited to finance, accounting, client management and operational partners)
  • Proven exceptional communication and presentation skills to internal executives and client executives
  • Proven ability to thrive in a subjective and fast-paced environment
  • Proven to professionally handle pressure of meeting multiple, high-priority dealings

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
