We are seeking a Senior Clinical Administrative Coordinator to join our Community Transition Programs team who shares our passion for helping people live healthier lives. For individuals who are initiative-takers, production, and quality output oriented, this role is for you. This position is full-time, Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:30 am – 4:00 pm CST.

We offer 2-3 weeks of training aligned to your work schedule.

  

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Submit requests for members medical records
  • Adhere to compliance regulations when submitting records request
  • Access external electronic medical record systems or health information exchange for medical data extraction and uploading. Processing of received medical records to ensure they are labeled correctly and loaded under the correct member in the care management platform
  • Review medical charts electronically using a computer
  • Review medical charts for member specific medical history
  • Transfer requested information from the medical record into established care management platform
  • Answer inbound calls pertaining to requests
  • Responsible for meeting daily production goal and quality goal
  • Attend conference calls as necessary to provide information and / OR feedback
  • Execute the tactical day-to-day activities of the clinical support team
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration to support team programs and services
  • Acts as a knowledge resource for team-based work groups, programs, and initiatives
  • Execute with precision the manual transfer of data
  • Provide cross-team support for all product lines to meet routine and special project goals
  • Reach daily production goals to support the aim of reducing provider administrative burden
  • Follow team guidelines with quick adaptation to change related to technology and customer needs
  • Telephonic outreach to members obtaining consents for telehealth visit
  • Must be able and comfortable with maintaining metrics and goals within the department
  • Assume other duties as assigned by Supervisor OR Manager

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 1+ years of experience working in the health care industry
  • 1+ years of experience working with medical terminology
  • Must be comfortable working on the phone and multiple systems on the computer simultaneously while assisting members
  • Ability to work between the hours of 7:30 am – 4:00 pm CST from Monday – Friday

  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with health care insurance
  • Experience in a hospital, physician’s office, OR medical clinic setting
  • Clerical OR administrative support background or experience working in a call center environment
  • Experience working with Medicare and / OR Medicaid Services

  

Telecommuting Requirements: 

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable) 
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The hourly pay for this role will range from $20.00 – $35.72 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
