THIS IS AN IN OFFICE ROLE, LOCATED  IN AUSTIN, TEXAS  

The Manager of Practice Support Unit (PSU) Operations provides supervision, coordination and management oversight of all practice support activities within assigned region/market. The PSU Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with all company goals, directives and objectives. The PSU Manager is accountable to ensure the performance of the PSU is achieving outcome targets.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of the planning, organization and direction of the activities of the PSU team
  • Provides supervision, development and mentoring, evaluation and management of staff
  • Monitors compliance of all PSU metrics
  • Ensures PSU is well promoted and properly represented through market engagement
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the PBMs, QRA Manager, SME for prioritizing mobile resources
  • Track and trend outreach and patient engagement efforts and develop new strategies as needed
  • Provides continual process improvement including all Quality, HEDIS and Focus on Care processes and/or services
  • Works collaboratively with Market leadership, Corporate Quality leadership and PBMs in the market to resolve barriers to engaging PCPs or patients with the PSU
  • Coordinates and guides integration of new measures or programs as it relates to the impact of the PSU
  • Responsible for creating corrective action plans for metrics off track
  • Ensures reporting of PSU activities meet the needs of the Corporate Quality Department and the Market/Regional leadership team and that reporting is received timely and accurately
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years progressive experience in medical practice management
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems and applications
  • Ability to demonstrate independent initiative, make sound decisions using effective problem-solving techniques

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+  years of directly related experience in medical practice management or healthcare related field specialized in HEDIS/Stars improvement
  • Effective ability to develop interpersonal relationships
  • Ability to develop and present comprehensive reports
  • Ability to effectively communicate (both written and verbal) in a professional manner

 

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
