We are looking for a highly experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) to lead and orchestrate Agile Release Train (ART) execution across multiple teams. This role is central to ensuring delivery alignment, managing dependencies, and driving cadence and synchronization across the ART. The RTE will work in close partnership with Product and Engineering leaders to ensure successful program execution and continuous improvement.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Orchestrate ART Execution: Lead Agile Release Train operations, ensuring alignment with delivery timelines and business priorities
- Facilitate SAFe Events: Plan and conduct PI Planning, ART syncs, and Inspect & Adapt workshops
- Capacity Planning: Drive ART-level capacity planning in collaboration with Product and Engineering to ensure realistic commitments and optimal resource utilization
- Dependency & Risk Management: Identify and resolve cross-team dependencies, risks, and impediments to ensure smooth delivery
- Agile Coaching: Provide guidance and coaching to Product Owners, and engineering teams on SAFe and Agile practices
- Collaboration & Partnership: Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency across the ART
- Delivery Coordination: Solve moderately complex coordination challenges across multiple teams and functions
- Mentorship: Act as a mentor and resource for less experienced Agile practitioners
- Leadership Communication: Provide clear, concise updates to leadership on ART performance, risks, and delivery health
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regard to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
- 10+ years of Industry experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Agile (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban)
- 3+ years as a Release Train Engineer and/or Agile Coach
- 2+ years of experience in Project or Program Management
- Solid facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
- Proven excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAFe certification
- Experience in scaling Agile across large programs or portfolios
- Familiarity with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Rally)
- Practical knowledge and experience of working with SAFe, Scrum and Kanban teams
