Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Business Analyst with solid experience in healthcare, particularly in enrollment systems or health exchanges. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in creating Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specification Documents (FSD), and user stories in Jira, along with expertise in defect triage, ALM defect lifecycle, and API-based interface design. This role requires a strategic thinker who can bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements in the form of BRDs, FSDs, and user stories
• Manage the user story lifecycle in Jira, including creation, grooming, prioritization, and closure
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, developers, QA, and stakeholders
• Write requirements for web-based applications driven by rule engines.
• Conduct defect triage meetings, track issues, and manage the ALM defect lifecycle
• Support healthcare-related projects, with a focus on enrollment systems or health exchange platforms
• Draft correspondence requirements for member communications and notifications
• Assist in designing and documenting API-based interfaces for system integrations
• Perform basic SQL queries to validate data and support analysis
• Ensure traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle
• Participate in UAT planning and execution

Required Qualifications: 

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
• 2+ years developing SQL quires/select scripts
• 1+ years experience working with Healthcare enrollment data
• Solid experience with Jira and ALM
• Experience with rule engine-based web applications
• Experience working with internal and external stakeholders  
• Familiarity with API design and integration requirements
• Proven ability to write clear and concise BRDs, FSDs, and user stories
• Proven detail-oriented with solid analytical and problem-solving abilities

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with health exchange platforms or enrollment systems
• Experience with correspondence systems and member communication workflows
• Knowledge of HIPAA and other healthcare compliance standards

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
