Integrated Behavioral Health of New Orleans is seeking a psychiatrist to join our local outpatient center in downtown New Orleans, LA. At Integrated Behavioral Health, we specialize in caring for children, adolescents, and adults coping with a wide array of psychological conditions by providing coordination of care with a multidisciplinary, integrated approach with expertise in psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, and the most up-to-date alternative treatments.
As a psychiatrist, you will treat a wide variety of mental health conditions that reflect the needs of our diverse patient population. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, treating, and prescribing medications for behavioral health and psychological disorders.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct clinical services to patients in the form of psychosocial assessments to individuals, families and couples
- Conduct outpatient psychiatric evaluations and provide ongoing medication management
- Collaborate as a member of multi-disciplinary integrated team for the development and delivery of treatment plans
- Foster excellent provider-patient alliances and coordinate care with external providers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic records (Athena) and clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirement
You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in such as TMS and Spravato treatment. This role also includes quarterly bonus incentives.
Required Qualifications:
- Clear and active Physician License (MD) in the state of Louisiana
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in psychiatry
- Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration
- Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) License
- Currently eligible to be enrolled as a provider in the Medicare program or able to terminate opt-out (if applicable) prior to starting a new position
- Within commuting distance of New Orleans, LA
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Behavioral Health experience in an outpatient clinical setting
- Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation – Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS (or other EHRs)
- Expertise in treating children, adolescents, and families
The salary range for this role is $214,000 to $382,000 annually based on full-time employment. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
