UnitedHealth Group invites you to help us maintain a collaborative partnership with our key state stakeholders. As a Sr. Business Analyst, you will help identify and resolve encounter rejections while ensuring adherence to compliance and timeliness of submissions. You will also have multiple deliverables that will require the skill of time management and the ability to pivot when necessary. Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will facilitate your success while you build your career with a leader and reach for the highest levels of performance as you do your life’s best work.

 

This is a challenging role with many layers. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages encounter compliance by reviewing reject reports and identifying solutions to reduce rejects
  • Collaborates with internal business partners to implement claims system configuration to support encounter requirements
  • Facility bi-weekly and ad Hoc meetings to review, determine root cause, and reduce encounter rejects
  • Responds to encounter inquiries from our state partners
  • Collaborates with the shared services encounter team to meet contract requirements
  • Monitors contractual requirements and collaborate with internal business partners to implement new encounter requirements
  • Coordinates, leads, and completes projects across various functional areas
  • Fulfills Office of Inspector General requests for large datasets
  • Manages multiple state deliverables concurrently

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+  years of Operations experience specific to the Community and State product
  • 3+ years of CSP Facets claims adjudication or benefit configuration (directly or indirectly)
  • 3+ years of interpreting benefit requirements
  • Experience working with encounters
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel (i.e. pivot tables and VLOOKUP)
  • Project Management experience as it relates to coordinating deliverables, leads, timelines across various functional areas

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid communication skills both written and verbal
  • Detail oriented

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
