Primary Responsibilities:

  • NLP Model Development:
    • Design, develop, and deploy Natural Language Processing (NLP) models for healthcare applications
    • Work on tasks such as Named Entity Recognition (NER), text classification, sentiment analysis, summarization, and question answering
  • Machine Learning & Deep Learning:
    • Build and optimize machine learning and deep learning models using structured and unstructured healthcare data
    • Apply techniques in NLU (Natural Language Understanding), NLG (Natural Language Generation), and SLU (Spoken Language Understanding)
  • Data Engineering & Feature Development:
    • Perform data ingestion, cleaning, transformation, and feature engineering
    • Work with large-scale datasets from clinical notes, EHRs, and other healthcare sources
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science, with a strong focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML)
  • Experience in building and deploying NLP models in production environments
  • Proficiency in Python and libraries such as NLTK, SpaCy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers
  • Solid SQL skills and experience with data querying and manipulation
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and big data tools (Spark, Hadoop)
  • Proven solid statistical and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to translate complex business problems into data science solutions

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience working with healthcare data (eg, EHRs, clinical notes)
