Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries and ensure proper accounting classifications in compliance with US GAAP
- Maintain and manage general ledger accounts to support the preparation of accurate financial statements and reports
- Reconcile, analyze, and review general ledger accounts during the month-end and quarter-end close processes
- Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and schedules
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting, investigating discrepancies and providing clear explanations
- Identify and research variances, providing detailed root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Utilize knowledge of general ledger and sub-ledger data sources, including charts of accounts, revenue, expenses, and claim costs
- Retrieve and analyze data using financial systems and reporting tools such as SmartView
- Perform account reconciliations and flux analysis using Blackline
- Apply analytical skills to investigate discrepancies between sub-ledger and PSGL
- Demonstrate a foundational understanding of data models, financial platforms, and information sourcing
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regard to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Commerce degree (B.com/M.com), CA Inter, equivalent experience
- 2+ years. experience in R2R
- Good understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Experience working with general ledger / sub-ledger accounting applications
- Intermediate (or higher) level of Microsoft Excel proficiency, including creating pivot tables for reporting purposes and completing V-lookups
