Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of software engineers working on iSeries (AS/400), Synon, and RxClaim systems
- Oversee the software development lifecycle for healthcare claims processing applications
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on RPG, CL, and Synon development
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Ensure system stability, performance, and compliance with healthcare industry standards
- Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within legacy systems
- Support exploration and pilot projects involving AI or automation as relevant to claims processing
- Manages and is accountable for professional employees and/or supervisors
- Impact of work is most often at the local level
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience developing and managing software on IBM iSeries (AS/400) platforms
- Experience with RxClaim or similar healthcare claims processing systems is highly desirable
- Experience managing software development teams
- Solid expertise in Synon (CA 2E) and RPG/CL programming languages
- Exposure to AI concepts or willingness to learn emerging technologies
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
