The Patient Care Coordinator is the first point of patient contact and requires professionalism, accuracy, and efficiency to ensure smooth front-office operations, proactive patient engagement, exceptional service, and effective coordination with clinical teams.
Schedule: 5, 8-hour shifts per week: Monday – Friday during open clinic hours (7:00 am – 5:00 pm)
Location: 9709 3rd Ave NE, Seattle WA 98115
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including verifying insurance, collecting co-pays, and obtaining necessary documentation
- Greet and assist patients in person and over the phone with a professional and compassionate demeanor
- Conduct patient outreach calls to schedule appointments, including preventive care visits, follow up on care plans, and address outstanding needs
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments, ensuring accuracy in patient records
- Meet outreach, scheduling, and preventive care quality targets and measures
- Serve as a primary resource for resolving patient inquiries or concerns
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare privacy regulations
- Coordinate with clinical teams to ensure smooth patient flow and operational efficiency
- Maintain accurate records and update electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Support training and onboarding of new patient service staff members
- Generate reports and assist in operational improvement projects

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- 1+ years of customer service experience
- 1+ years of general office experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of electronic medical record experience
- Experience in an outpatient clinic or similar healthcare setting preferred
- Previous health insurance knowledge
- Knowledge of insurance verification, medical terminology, and EHR systems preferred
Soft Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.74 to $31.63 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
