As a part of the OptumCare network, our Cardiology specialty is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our growing team in New Jersey.
Location: 195 Cortlandt St Belleville, NJ with occasional coverage required at nearby sites
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm with two evening shifts until 7:00pm. Every other Saturday from 8:00am – 2:00pm
Multispecialty: Orthopedics, dermatology, endocrinology, podiatry, and internal medicine
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Room patients, obtain health history, check vital signs and perform EKG’s
- Document patient care using electronic medical record software
- Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals, answer calls and complete paperwork as needed

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification
- Bilingual Spanish
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a Certified Medical Assistant performing clinical back-office duties including obtaining vital signs and recording medical history
- Experience with Epic EMR
- 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $27.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
