This position is based in Eden Prairie, MN, or New York, NY Hybrid schedule
This position follows a hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week (MN), three in-office days per week (NY)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Will play a critical role in supporting the Optum Finance team in planning, reporting, and presenting financial and operational data. The position will also work on key financial deliverables related to forecasting financial data and month end close responsibilities
- Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting process which will include working with Finance, Product, Operations and Tech partners to understand strategies, initiatives, priorities, cost drivers, benefits, and variances
- Develop tools, models, and processes to execute multiple planning and forecasting plans, providing critical financial and operational information to Business and Finance Leaders
- Prepare meaningful and decision enabling presentations to Sr. Management that clearly articulates key drivers and suggest action plans
- Will assist in developing the financial narratives and PPT presentations for month end close and recommendations that will be utilized for both internal and external constituents
- Performing ad-hoc analysis to enhance decisions and improve profitability
- Continually develop and refine process improvements to ensure accurate and timely analysis of financial and operational data

Required Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in Finance/Accounting or Business Management or a related field
- 3+ years of experience performing financial and variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and preparing financial reports
- Large matrix organization experience
- Experience building allocation/automated models
- Experience with analytical, quantitative, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Advanced level of proficiency working with Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with large data set with complex matrix environment
- Finance experience a plus, including FP&A or M&A background
- Essbase, Tableau and/or related applications such as Power BI experience
- Demonstrated to be self-motivated to work independently and be a team player
- Demonstrated to be collaborative and flexible working style, with a solid service mentality
- Demonstrated to be mature and proactive, with evidence of having worked as a true business partner
- Demonstrated ability to work with others and communicate effectively (both verbal and written)
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems including multiple priorities and research conflicting and/or inaccurate data
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
